My Approach

It takes incredible strength and courage to reach out for help when you are in need of support; especially during our most vulnerable moments. I'm so glad you are here...

As a therapist, I consider it a privilege to hold space for you and your story - as it continues to unfold. I invite you to think the old and timeless saying: "You can't pour from an empty cup." I don't believe that there is anything more valuable to you (or your family) than engaging in the process of filling up your own cup. Tea time?

I offer a collaborative and holistic approach to treatment honoring each client's personal beliefs, unique values, and intentions for therapy. I believe that the relationship between a client and their therapist acts as the "heart" of therapy; therefore I offer a free fifteen minute telephone consultation to talk in more detail and see if you wish to work with me. I am able to make referrals to other resources and practitioners if we determine that I may not be the right fit for you. Give me a ring!

My Practice

I have completed advanced clinical trainings to offer treatment for Maternal Mental Health Disorders through Postpartum Support International (PSI) and the Postpartum Action Institute (Santa Barbara, CA). I have also completed post-graduate clinical training through the Postpartum Stress Center (Blue Bell, PA).

In addition, I have attended: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy training with Dr. Christine Padesky and studied Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (The Center for Mindfulness Studies). Through Interior Health, I obtained certificates in: Core Addictions Practice and Trauma Informed Practice.

I am committed to ongoing education and training; this is includes clinical supervision. I have also been accepted to write PSI's Perinatal Mental Health Certification Exam

I hold professional memberships with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors and Postpartum Support International.
